Residential Permits

The Residential Permit parking program is designed to restrict parking  on specific, residential streets to the residents, guests of residents or those providing a service to the residents.  Permit parking is intended to ensure residents of a decent chance at finding parking near their residences.

The majority of the 43rd Ward is within the Permit Parking Zone 143, followed by Zones 142, 74, 119, 348 and 921.  If you are unsure of the the permit parking zone for your address please call our office.

Enforcement times vary throughout the ward and vehicles parked without a permit during the restricted hours will be ticketed.

Annual Residential Permits for Zones 74, 119, 142, 143 and 348 are sold to eligible residents as part of the City Sticker.  The fee is an additional $25.00 through November, $16.50 December 1 through March 31 or $8.25 April 1 through June 30.  To include a residential zone on your sticker you must be a resident of a street that has restricted parking.  If you live on a street that is adjacent to a residential zone, you qualify for the sticker but will need an exception letter from the Alderman.  Please call 773/327-9111 for additional information.
